NUEVA BANDA Y NUEVO VÍDEO-CLIP:  PRESSURE M8′s “REAL WORLD”

Tengo el placer de presentaros un proyecto parido aquí mismo, concretamente en Bilbao. Se trata de Pressure M8′s la nueva banda del trotamundos de la electrónica Sanchesqui para la que ha contado con músicos de la escena bizkaitarra como Andeka Marina y Gonzalo Barradas, además del cubano Miguel Comas. 

Como carta de presentación nos ofrecen el vídeo-clip para la canción “Real World“. Un hermoso catálogo de imágenes -los paisajes pertenecen a Bermeo en Euskadi- repasado por el actor Pedro Laspiur a lomo de una moto clásica (¿una Guzzi quizás?).

Al igual que el tono de la canción (synthpop lleno de lentitud e inmortalidad) el vídeo es de estética tenue, evocadora, retratista y como ya te puedes imaginar… en un siempre expresivo blanco y negro. La dirección corre a cargo de Elbio Aparesi Nielsen. Igual es un antojo mío pero entre el motero y los esbozos dibujados a mano ¿no será uno de los que perseguían a Morten Harket en aquel mítico “Take On Me” de A-ha?

El single “Real World” saldrá a la venta este próximo 31 de Julio. A mitad de septiembre volverán con un 2º vídeo-clip (“The Way Out“) y un poco más tarde, el 3 de octubre, presentarán en directo estos temas más el resto del álbum de debut titulado ”Meraki” en el Bilborock, concretamente en una Iglesia del S.XVII.

La traca final será cuando en la 2ª quincena de noviembre Pressure M8′s publiquen todo este jaleo ejecutado en directo en DVD y CD. 

Planes concretos de aquí a finales de 2015:
- 14 de Julio: lanzamiento del primer vídeo-clip, REAL WORLD
- 31 de Julio: primer single a la venta.

- 17 de Septiembre: segundo vídeo-clip, THE WAY OUT
- 3 de Octubre: estrenan directo en Bilborock. Se grabará todo (vídeo y audio)
- En la 2ª segunda quincena de Noviembre se lanzará el CD y DVD de todo este jaleo llamado PRESSURE M8’S y su primer álbum MERAKI.

NEW BAND AND MUSIC VIDEO: PRESSURE M8′s “REAL WORLD”

We are honoured to introduce you to this new band founded in Bilbao (Euskadi, Spain). Pressure M8’s, a project created by the electronic music artist Sanchesqui. Besides Sanchesqui, the group consists of: Andeka Marina, Gonzalo Barradas and Miguel Comas.

They are introducing themselves via the music video for the original track “Real World”. A beautiful book of images -the landscapes belongs to Bermeo in Euskadi- on a motorcycle road trip with the actor Pedro Laspiur (riding a Guzzi maybe?).

Just like the pitch of the song (slow pace synthpop) the video directed by Elbio Aparesi Nielsen keeps the tempo and the mood. Pure nature, humanness, dreams and memories filmed in a beautiful black and white photography. No blood or sex this time, sorry.

The single “Real World” will be released this coming July 31. In mid September they will return with a 2nd music video (“The Way Out”) and then, on October 3, the band will present the debut album “Meraki” at Bilborock, specifically in a seventeenth century church.

The grand finale is when -and immersed in the 2nd half of November- Pressure M8′s is releasing this entire multidisciplinary project in a DVD and a CD.

BIOGRAFÍA:
PRESSURE M8’S es una banda de Bilbao creada en Junio de 2013 por Txema Dominguez aka Sanchesqui.

Txema estrena el 21 de Mayo de 2013 en el teatro Campos Aliseos de Bilbao su primer trabajo largo en solitario y al acabar se da cuenta realmente de hacia donde quiere derivar su proyecto. Tras obtener un feedback muy bueno del público asistente, allí mismo anuncia que no habrá más bolos de Sanchesqui. Al mismo tiempo que pretende encerrarse como un lobo en el estudio para seguir componiendo hasta tener ese verdadero “show”, concepto que le haga vibrar.

Para ello se pone manos a la obra y empieza a buscar las piezas del puzle. En unos pocos meses reúne a Andeka Marina (teclista y percusionista) de Bilbao, Gonzalo Barradas (teclista, cantante y co-productor) de Madeira / Portugal, quien se encierra varias jornadas junto a Sanchesqui en el estudio para terminar de rematar las letras y música de MERAKI, por fin ese álbum. Tampoco nos olvidemos del cubano Miguel Comas (bajista y guitarrista)… y en el apartado visual, del chileno Esteban García (proyecciones en Súper 8 ) y del bilbaíno Urtzi Mardaras (vdj).

Un año y pico después Pressure M8’s ya tiene a punto de caramelo su primer álbum MERAKI, algo más de 12 canciones para publicar y otras tantas en la recamara, mas el acompañamiento visual de cada una.

Para los conciertos tienen preparado más de 2 horas de show donde trabajan a conciencia con todo lo sonoro y lo visual. No les sirve cualquier espacio para tocar, eso dicen… Para muestra un botón, el primer concierto será en Bilborock, concretamente en una iglesia del S.XVII con una acústica impresionante. Y para que todo esto salga perfecto, alquilarán el espacio varios días para hacer ensayos previos, tanto de imagen -llevan 4 proyectores Súper 8 y un proyector digital central- como de audio. En este sentido se suma al festín del ingeniero Estanislao Elorza que se encarga de hacer las grabaciones de campo, mezcla y posterior mastering. Vamos, todo un enjambre artístico y analógico de esos que molan.

Con todo ello en Noviembre publicaran su primer álbum en CD (grabado en directo) y acompañado de un DVD con imágenes de un seguimiento previo a los músicos, makin’ of, video-clips y partes del concierto también.

BIOGRAPHY
Pressure M8′s is a band from Bilbao (Euskadi, Spain) founded in June of 2013 by Txema Dominguez (aka Sanchesqui)

Txema launched his first solo album the May 21, 2013, at Campos Eliseos Theatre. Having done that –and after received tones of great feedbacks from both critics and audiences- he realized where exactly he would love to do the next step forward. At that very moment he announced that wasn’t going to play again as Sanchesqui, and that the next time he is locking at the recording studio he would sit down to write songs for a real and vibrant show (musically and visually speaking).

With that purpose, he starts working and searching for the puzzle’s pieces. In just a few months he brings together the musicians Andeka Marina (keyboards and percussion), Miguel Comas (bass and guitar) from Cuba and Gonzalo Barradas ( keys, singer and co-production) from Madeira / Portugal and with whom locked in the studio for several months to finish and go through the lyrics and melodies of the forthcoming album “Meraki”. A blend between Electronic and Pop music.

Also belonging to this project the visual artists Esteban Garcia from Chile (Super 8 projections) and Urtzi Mardaras from Bilbao (VDJ).

After just over a year Pressure M8′s have prepared their first LP, “Meraki” including –at least- twelve original songs (and visuals).

For the live performances they’ve prepared a show that exceeds 2 hours long where they work conscientiously all about sound and visuals. Their debut concert will be at Bilborock (Bilbao) in a seventeenth century church with an amazing sound. Mindful to this, they’re renting the place several days before the final concert to rehearsal previously the image, with four Super 8 and a central digital projector. It is joining also to the staff the engineer Estanislao Elorza, who is in charge of the field recordings, mixing and mastering.
